PSALM 18- DEVOTION

What was David’s first encounter of faith with God that built his faith to be unshakable?

Where does his confidence come from that allows him to face his enemies and defeat them and rely on God to defeat them for him, and never take the credit?

God is David’s Rock, Fortress, Deliverer, God, Shelter, Shield, Power, Stronghold.

David calls on God and He saves him!

David was terrified, distressed and he cried out because his enemies were too strong for him, and God heard him from His Temple

God moved in the cloak of thick darkness under his feet. His hiding place... thick clouds dark with water.

Gods voice is equated to thunder, hailstones and fiery coals breaking through the dark clouds.

God took pleasure in David because he did not leave and distance himself from his God which is described as evil.

How often do I leave and distance myself from the Lord... My God?

David expresses his devotion to God: vs 21-23“For I have kept the ways of Adonai, I have not done evil by leaving my God; for all his ruling were before me, I did not distance his regulations from me. I was pure hearted with him and kept myself from sin.”

And God responded to this devotion by repaying David for his uprightness, according to the purity of David’s hands in God’s view.

We learn that God shows himself merciful to those who are merciful. He shows himself sincere to the person who is sincere; pure to those who are pure; and to those who are crooked God shows himself cunning. God saves those who are afflicted; and to those who are haughty God will humble.

When we respond to Jesus as Lord of Lords and All in All He fulfills us and completes us. His righteousness and purity and devotion and mercy and goodness becomes ours. We all know that in and of ourselves we are none of those things. When we trust in Jesus this same God who David looks to and trusts in for safety refuge salvation etc., responds to us and protects and provides and shelters us. He saves us from the snare of death because of sin.

Whatever sin is in your life today turn from it and stop it because you love Jesus. That’s the reason... because you love Him, His Son and His Holy Spirit Then cry out to God to light your lamp.

Lord light up our darkness today and everyday. Be our power and might to get through the battle and to be filled with your Spirit to overcome.

THE THEOCRACY OF JESUS IS CLOSER THEN EVER

I’m waiting for Jesus’ Theocratic Kingdom and praying and voting it in. Most things on this world’s government ballots do not reflect the purity of what God’s Kingdom will involve.  We’re about to see major changes in this world that are challenging, but are steps toward His Theocracy. Jesus will rule completely and perfectly with justice and righteousness and goodness. That might be hard to believe because  none of us have experienced a perfect government system in any way.  There is a 7 year period that occurs prior to Jesus returning to begin his 1,000 year reign on this very earth. That 7 years involves achieving a number of objectives, one of which is God destroying the NWO which includes a one world religious, money and political system ruled by the Anti- Christ. After the fake peace treaty, that Israel will buy into, Anti Christ will dominate this planet for 7 years. All of this was prophesied by the Prophet Daniel and it’s throughout the scriptures. Seven years is not a long time, and we may be on the cusp of this period beginning. It is also called the Day of the Lord, or the Time of Jacob’s Trouble, or Tribulation.  But it’s all for the purpose of helping Israel see that their true Messiah is Yeshua HaMachiach.... Jesus Christ. It’s amazing that we are so close!

Theocracy is a form of government in which a deity of some type is recognized as the supreme ruling authority, giving divine guidance to human intermediaries that manage the day-to-day affairs of the government.

“And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be one and his name one.”

‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭14:9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭22:28‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:18-20‬ ‭ESV‬‬

““I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.”

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The government that God established in Israel was a theocracy: God was their real King and His law governed them, even though others ruled under Him

“Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of David his father. And he prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.”

‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:23‬ ‭ESV‬‬

““And now you think to withstand the kingdom of the Lord in the hand of the sons of David, because you are a great multitude and have with you the golden calves that Jeroboam made you for gods.”

‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭13:8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Jesus will begin His Theocracy on this earth starting with the nation of Israel and specifically in Jerusalem. He will turn the hearts of the Jews to himself by removing the blindness that has been on their eyes, and by fiercely protecting them from the hostile nations. He will subdue the nations in his power and his authority.  Jesus will eventually rule and govern all the nations of this world from Jerusalem under his established order

“The oracle of the word of the Lord concerning Israel: Thus declares the Lord, who stretched out the heavens and founded the earth and formed the spirit of man within him: “Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of staggering to all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem will also be against Judah. On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will gather against it. On that day, declares the Lord, I will strike every horse with panic, and its rider with madness. But for the sake of the house of Judah I will keep my eyes open, when I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. Then the clans of Judah shall say to themselves, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem have strength through the Lord of hosts, their God.’ “On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a blazing pot in the midst of wood, like a flaming torch among sheaves. And they shall devour to the right and to the left all the surrounding peoples, while Jerusalem shall again be inhabited in its place, in Jerusalem. “And the Lord will give salvation to the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not surpass that of Judah. On that day the Lord will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them on that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the angel of the Lord, going before them. And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn. On that day the mourning in Jerusalem will be as great as the mourning for Hadad-rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. The land shall mourn, each family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the Shimeites by itself, and their wives by themselves; and all the families that are left, each by itself, and their wives by themselves.”

‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭12:1-14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

““Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob and have compassion on his dwellings; the city shall be rebuilt on its mound, and the palace shall stand where it used to be.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭30:18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“And I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.””

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1:26‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“In place of your fathers shall be your sons; you will make them princes in all the earth.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭45:16‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”? Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:6-9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Behold, a king will reign in righteousness, and princes will rule in justice.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭32:1‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying, “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision. Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, “As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.” I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭2:1-12‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” The Lord sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies! Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours. The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath. He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth. He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭110:1-7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭2:26-27‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“saying, “We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭11:17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

People think that this earth is currently governed by many different human kings and governments, but actually it is all controlled and influenced by Satan. Jesus will soon overthrow Satan and destroy him and will establish his righteous kingdom in this earth

“Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, all together were broken in pieces, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.”

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭2:35‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever,”

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭2:44‬ ‭ESV‬‬

““At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book.”

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:21‬ ‭ESV‬‬

““Therefore wait for me,” declares the Lord, “for the day when I rise up to seize the prey. For my decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them my indignation, all my burning anger; for in the fire of my jealousy all the earth shall be consumed. “For at that time I will change the speech of the peoples to a pure speech, that all of them may call upon the name of the Lord and serve him with one accord.”

‭‭Zephaniah‬ ‭3:8-9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“The nations raged, but your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear your name, both small and great, and for destroying the destroyers of the earth.””

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭11:18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19:15-16‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts.”

‭‭Haggai‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:25-29‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!””

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭46:9-10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it, and many peoples shall come, and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide disputes for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭2:2-4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it, and many nations shall come, and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide disputes for strong nations far away; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore; but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid, for the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken.”

‭‭Micah‬ ‭4:1-4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

It will be amazing to watch Jesus Theocracy and Kingdom unfold exactly as scripture has proclaimed

“Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready;”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19:7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Then came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues and spoke to me, saying, “Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God,”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:9-10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22:17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

GET RIGHT WITH JESUS ASAP

It is super important to get right with Jesus ASAP....now. That means trust Him and Him alone for your salvation. Repent and turn from your sins.  Jesus is the one who died and rose from the grave for you. For there to be forgiveness for sins, blood must be shed because the life is in the blood. Your eternal life is in the blood of Jesus. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus alone. You must trust in Jesus’ works not your own. Your religion will not save you. Your good works will not save you. Your own understanding will not save you. But trusting in Jesus and following him will. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the grave you will be saved. It’s a real love relationship propelled by His Holy Spirit.
