Jesus is way cool because it is impossible for him to compromise truth. He is the Truth. He is the answer to the age old question that challenges all who govern and rule with authority and all who are governed and ruled over: "What is Truth?"

When Truth crosses our path we don't harden our hearts to it, rather we humble ourselves to be conformed by it. Let Truth assimilate community. Let Truth feed the poor, let Truth lead all to repentance. What is truth? Read the Bible for yourself and Truth will glare off the page right before you waiting patiently and hopefully for your acceptance and faith in it. Satan would have you believe there is no one way of truth to conform to, to yield to and believe. And he will continue to lie dressed up as an Angel of Light to deceive.

BUT REMEMBER Jesus does not deceive us. Even while being persecuted he was a faithful witness as the truth for us all:

"..........Jesus answered Pilate, FOR THIS PURPOSE I WAS BORN, AND FOR THIS PURPOSE I HAVE COME INTO THE WORLD- TO BEAR WITNESS TO THE TRUTH. EVERYONE WHO IS OF THE TRUTH LISTENS TO MY VOICE." Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” (John 18:19-24, 28-38)

It's awesome that Jesus answered Pilate's question immediately before he asked. " ...I bear witness to the truth...and everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice. "

He's answered that amazing question for others too by saying,

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." Jesus Christ (John 14:6)

Noah Genesis 6:9 ---- Genesis 9:17

The story of Noah is by far my most favorite story of the Bible. It always has been. As a kid, I remember waking up in the middle of the night, and I would always think about the story and the details. That story kept me at peace, and it still does because God was keeping people and animals alive, in a massive ark, through tons of water. Even the hardest part of the story made sense to me as a kid, that is, why God had to flood the earth. What it represents for our day is both fascinating and sobering, because it reveals God's faithfulness to sustain those who put their trust in him and obey him, and God's ability and power to end wickedness. It reveals both his Grace and Justice. The Biblical account of Noah found in Genesis 6:9 through Genesis 9:17 would be a great read before watching the much anticipated Hollywood version in order to understand the real reason why the flood occurred, and to notice that Noah was really a righteous man who feared God. To discern that Noah was not a drunk, and that the world wasn't flooded because it was over populated. All in all, the story of Noah for us today is a warning to get right with God now. It's a global warning emphasizing the significance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to humanity. Check out this free movie called "Noah and the Last Days." It was released today, and portrays the real message within the context of the following verses. I have a feeling this Friday's Hollywood version won't even come close to leaving people with the sense of urgency they ought to have about the consequence of sin, and the awesome provision of salvation God has made through Christ....the Ark.

Luke 17:26 - Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man.

Matthew 24:37 & 38 - For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark.
