The One Reason To Come To Christ Is The Same Power That Brings You Back To Christ

You were designed and created by Jesus Christ. He is your Creator!  If you look in the Word of God it clearly tells you everything you need to know about this, and to become fulfilled, complete, overjoyed and full of peace. To know and worship your creator, and to enjoy him forever is why you exist! But this specific knowledge may still not draw you close to Jesus....even as true as it is. Only one thing can do that.  

“Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.”

Colossians 1:15-20 ESV

“Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.” Hebrews 1:1-3 NLT

After reading these verses, however, wouldn't you suspect that your Creator, Jesus, would have a special interest in you? But you say, "I have never experienced this special interest or relationship from or with Jesus. I do not know him." This is most likely because you were never told clearly and straightforwardly or shown who this Jesus Christ is. The source you need to incorporate into your life to begin experiencing Jesus is the Bible. This is how you can get to know Him on your own if no one in your life is demonstrating or sharing Jesus!  But, if you have been told of Jesus, and you are rejecting him or rebelling that is a different heart issue. You are choosing that path for yourself. 

The world does not know God, it does not seek nor have faith in God by itself. Neither do you. But this didn't stop Jesus from coming to you. He came looking for you first because of ONE THING. Yes, he entered the world through the power of the Holy Spirit causing the virgin Mary to conceive, but even this knowledge, as true as it is, doesn't draw you to Christ in your personal heart. All the miracles and good deeds of Christ; that he is God in the flesh are all meaningless still because you do not know the ONE THING that has the power to UNITE your heart to his; To draw your affections and desires to him in sincerity toward a real, lasting fulfilling relationship. This ONE THING is truly the most amazing reality of Jesus Christ that makes you see why, and causes you to desire him to be your Lord and Savior; That makes you finally understand that he really is God and worthy of your worship; That causes you to realize that no thing and no person in the world has the answer to making you complete besides Jesus. 

Without believing this ONE THING about Jesus Christ toward you, the verses above, though they are powerful and true, will not matter to you. They are impersonal. 

When you experience this ONE THING it is what will make Jesus divine to you and majestic. It's what makes Jesus your joy, and friend, your hope and fulfillment. It's what makes you accept that he is the only way to Heaven for not just you, but all of mankind. It's what causes you to want to stop living your own way, or the world's way and instead conform to his image. You will gladly forsake all for him. 

The fear of being cast into hell for eternity because of your sins is one thing that might bring you to Jesus but that is rooted in fear, This ONE THING is a more powerful and lasting reason to come to Jesus.

This ONE THING is found in Hosea 14:4 and reveals the heart of Jesus toward you and all people. It says, "I will love you freely." These few words shine the whole message of God's heart. Jesus loves you unconditionally.
