Believe First Then I Will Show You

People say, "Show me God, then I will believe. " but God says, "Believe, then I will show you."

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 NLT)

So all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith. But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law.” So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” This way of faith is very different from the way of law, which says, “It is through obeying the law that a person has life.” But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith. (Galatians 3:9-14 NLT)

Humble Confession ---> Life

People who cover over their sins will not prosper. But if they confess and forsake them, they will receive mercy. (Proverbs 28:13)

I have come to call sinners to turn from their sins, not to spend my time with those who think they are already good enough. (Luke 5:32)

But I confess my sins; I am deeply sorry for what I have done. (Psalms 38:18)

Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:29)

But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12)

By the Holy Spirit

BY THE HOLY SPIRIT....Mortify our flesh, BY THE HOLY SPIRIT....Glorify Jesus Christ, BY THE HOLY SPIRIT...Magnify God the Father, BY THE HOLY SPIRIT....Everything BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in Spirit and in Truth.” John 4:23, 24

Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:3, 5-8

"...(for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth)," Ephesians 5:9

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.  Galatians 5:22-25

Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 5:19

Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Psalm 51:11

God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness....Genesis 1:26

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. Matthew 3:16

Then Jesus was led up into the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted by the devil, and after he had fasted forty days and forty nights, then he was hungry. But he answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man will not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God.” Jesus said to him, “On the other hand it is written, ‘You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.’ ” Then Jesus said to him, “Go away, Satan, for it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’ ” Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and began ministering to him. From that time on, Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, because the kingdom of heaven is near.” Matthew 4:1, 2, 4, 7, 10, 11, 17

And the believers were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:52

And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. Romans 8:2, 5-16

The Spirit, the water, and the blood—and all three agree. Since we believe human testimony, surely we can believe the greater testimony that comes from God. And God has testified about his Son. All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true. Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about his Son. And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. 1 John 5:8-12

It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have. 1 Corinthians 12:11

in whom also you, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also when you believed you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the down payment of our inheritance, until the redemption of the possession, to the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:13 and 14

God Runs Towards You

God RUNS TOWARD the soul that seeks Him.....the soul that has been far away from him but then starts to draw near ....the Creator who loves us more than we can ever know  made us so we could have a relationship with Him. Nothing can quench His love for you. He gave us the Bible to  help us believe in Him ,learn about Him and fall in love with Him. So much today will keep you from reading the Bible, but once you decide to get into it and stay in it the God you have always hoped to know will draw near to you and make himself known like you have never imagined! Start reading in the Gospel of John!

"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

"My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.” Psalms 27:8

"Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him." Psalms 105:4

“So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him. Luke 15:20

"But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you. I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. I long for the Lord more than sentries long for the dawn, yes, more than sentries long for the dawn." Psalms 130:4-6

"The Lord is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant." Psalms 25:14

Truth for the Journey

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28

Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful. Romans 12:12

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud Or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day. Genesis 1:1-5, 16-19

“No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness. Therefore be careful lest the light in you be darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light.” Luke 11:33-36

Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,” even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you. Psalm 139:7-12

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. Isaiah 60:1, 2

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble. My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you. Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil. Proverbs 4:18-27

Broken and Contrite in Spirit

Ask God to bring about broken and contrite hearts because...The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 51:17

God has the power to multiply his Word in people who will come to him broken in spirit and contrite in heart. When we see God for who He is we see he is worthy and we shutter.....he takes away our sin....forever! Cleanses the soul who trusts in His Son Jesus Christ. Holy is The Lord....
